Forensic Medicine is kind of evidence-based medicine that applies theories and skills of clinical medicine, bioinformatics, pharmacy and other natural sciences to solve legal problems. It is used to investigate crimes and provide scientific evidence in civil or criminal cases. Forensic science should be regarded as a bridge between "law" and "medicine". The forensic science major in China has only been established for more than 50 years and still has many defects. However, it has been successfully applied in the fields of financial insurance underwriting and claim settlement, judicial appraisal, criminal investigation, scientific and technological archaeology and so on. It is believed that with the continuous improvement of the discipline construction of forensic medicine and the advancement of the process of socialist legalization, it will play a pivotal role in cracking down on illegal crimes, maintaining social judicial justice, and using legal means to defend the sanctity of "medical humanistic spirit". In forensic science, human body is not the end, the spirit of rule of law and human rights awareness is the ultimate end, and medical science is the means to achieve the end. Just as the legal system of a country is divided into judicial power, legislative power and executive power, accordingly, forensic appraisal is gradually moving into three areas: judicial appraisal, legislative appraisal and administrative appraisal. The healthy development of forensic science is directly related to the fundamental problem of national public security and the judicial credibility of the country.
